Crosta & Mollica is a new and exciting Italian food brand, founded by James Orr. The Crosta & Mollica journey began when James was a graduate agricultural technologist working with a company that imported Italian fruit. He drove through Italy’s beautiful countryside, stopping off to visit farmers and their families who grew and cooked the most delicious food. He fell in love with all things Italian and in particular the huge variety of regional breads he discovered on his travels.
Crosta & Mollica needed an online platform and presence that would reflect their ‘Altogether Italia’ persona, showcasing the bold and vivid variety of products they offer in an expanding range of retailers. They felt that their existing website didn’t truly represent them, and was lacking in core functionality that hindered exploration and discovery of the brand.
Immediately after it launched the website experienced a dramatic improvement in both traffic and website engagement with double digit increases in key analytics. Since the launch, time spent on site is up 70%, page views 78% and users 70%.
Following this project, Futureproof will be working with Crosta & Mollica throughout the year to help develop both their digital presence and in-store customer experience.
